What do we offer?

We have recently expanded what we offer. Below you will find a brief summary of what we offer for each age group. We now serve 5-7 year olds as well as the 1-4 year old!

Little Boots: 1-4 year olds

For our littlest farm friends we offer a 10 week parent child playgroup session, which meets for 1 hour weekly for 10 weeks. With this program you gain the consistency of coming every week and familiarity with the other families as you'll see them every week.

We also offer a once a week pop up of these parent child playgroups, these are great for people who can't come for the full 10 weeks. You enroll in the sessions on a drop in basis as your availability allows.

What is Farm PLAYgroup?

Farm PLAYgroup is a parent-and-child outdoor experience designed to nurture curiosity, confidence, and a love of nature through child-led play on a small working family farm.

Rather than following a structured lesson plan, children are encouraged to explore, discover, create, and learn at their own pace while parents enjoy quality time alongside them.

What Sessions May Include:

 Child-Led Outdoor Play

  • Mud kitchen

  • Sand/dirt digging beds

  • Nature exploration

  • Open-ended sensory play

  • Plenty of room to explore

 Farm Experiences

  • Meet and learn about farm animals (The 75 Oaks has animals like goats, sheep, chickens, turkeys, geese, ducks, bees, cats, etc)

  • End each session by helping feed the goats and other farm animals

  • Water and care for garden plants

  • Learn hands on where food comes from

Weekly Invitations to Explore - Each week features a seasonal farm or farm/nature theme that may include:

  • Nature-inspired crafts

  • Simple farm tasks

  • Gardening activities

  • Sensory invitations

  • Nature discoveries

Children are always welcome to participate in as much—or as little—as they'd like. Free play is encouraged throughout the entire session.

Our Philosophy

At Little Boots, Big Roots, we believe childhood is meant to be explored—not rushed.

We value:

  • Curiosity over perfection

  • Play over pressure

  • Fresh air over screens

  • Dirt under little fingernails

  • Learning through real-life experiences

  • Meaningful parent-child connection

Our goal isn't to teach children what to think—it's to create a space where they naturally discover, wonder, and grow.

Safety

Animal interactions are always supervised by Leeza, owner of The 75 Oaks, who teaches children about the animals while ensuring a safe experience for both children and animals.

Parents and caregivers remain with their children throughout the session, as this is an active working farm.

Program Details

  • 10-week program

  • $300 Tuition covers all 10 sessions

  • Sessions are held rain or shine unless weather conditions are unsafe

  • Weather cancellations will be made up the week following the scheduled end of the program

  • Enrollment is non-transferable

Please Note

Farm PLAYgroup is not a formal educational class.

Our program is intentionally play-based. While each session includes themed activities and opportunities to learn and craft, children are free to follow their own interests and explore in the ways that are most meaningful to them.

Our greatest hope is simple:
that every child leaves with muddy boots, happy hearts, and a deeper connection to the natural world.

Big Boots: 5-7 year olds

What is Big Boots?

Big Boots is a weekly homeschool enrichment program designed for curious learners ages 5–7 who thrive through hands-on experiences, outdoor exploration, and meaningful work.

Meeting once each week for two hours, children participate in guided learning experiences that combine science, agriculture, creativity, and nature while building confidence, independence, and real-world skills.

Parents remain on-site throughout the program and are welcome to relax, work remotely, or spend time with younger siblings while our instructors lead the day's activities with their enrolled child. Parents are available to assist their child if needed, but children are encouraged to build confidence and independence throughout the session.

What We Offer at Each Weekly Session

Each week participants will break into group and rotate through three different spaces on the farm.

The Farm Space

Every week includes an authentic farm experience where children become active participants in caring for the farm.

Activities may include:

  • Animal care and feeding

  • Gardening

  • Farm chores

  • Harvesting

  • Composting

  • Nature observation

  • Responsibility through meaningful work

Children don't just learn about the farm—they become part of it.

The Maker Space

Our Maker Space encourages creativity, problem-solving, and imagination through hands-on projects connected to each month's theme.

Activities may include:

  • Nature-inspired crafts

  • Building projects

  • Process art

  • STEM challenges

  • Nature journals

  • Seasonal creations

Every project is designed to encourage creativity rather than perfection.

The Learning Space

Each session includes an instructor-led learning experience that brings our monthly theme to life through discussion, book work, experiments, games, or hands-on activities.

Children will practice observing, questioning, predicting, and discovering while making meaningful connections.

Learning is interactive, engaging, and designed specifically for homeschool learners.

Please Note

Big Boots is a homeschool enrichment program designed to complement your family's homeschool journey, not replace it.

Our lessons are intentionally hands-on and exploratory, providing meaningful experiences that are often difficult to recreate at home. We encourage children to ask questions, solve problems, care for living things, and make connections between the classroom and the world around them.

Because some of life's greatest lessons are learned with dirt on your boots, curiosity in your heart, and the freedom to explore.
